I fully believe that the use of Take Me to Church is the best use of non-composed (?) songs in the recent DCI shows. It doesn't feel forced whatsoever- that song really DOES fit in with the show theme! The use of the Sinnerman vocal splices feel natural. I know a ton of people feel like vocals (especially recorded ones) take away from a show, but they add to it in my opinion. This is one of the best executed ones in a while! As well as the I'm Tired vocal- they fit in naturally! The melody isn't taken by the prerecorded, but given to the brass.

Music

The performance of their pieces in this show NEVER fails to blow me away. Easily my dream is to play half as well as the brass of this group. One part that stands out is during the middle section (right after 'smile, even though it's breaking'), it's just so stunning. The runs and the screamer , beautiful. Never fails to give me chills.

Visuals

I adore everything about the Sinnerman visuals. From the spinners, the white covers, the props. I've said this for a while, but the way the guard is portrayed feels like a cycle of abuse. They torment and fearmonger the band, but in the end, they're the ones spinning themselves around. Also, the whips! They're awesome! Use whips more!!!
